Live Training for Clinicians & Para-Professionals

Individuals and organizations that serve clients can now use How to Keep House While Drowning in their practice with this robust professional training. This is a live training opportunity with KC Davis where your staff will spend 3-4 hours of interactive learning and come out with the skills to help clients shift their mindset and apply new tools for care tasks.

Make no mistake—this is not a case of “death by powerpoint.” Under KC’s lead, trainees will engage in robust discussion and experiential exercises. In addition to training on the groundbreaking approach outlined in the bestselling book How to Keep House While Drowning, staff will leave with comprehensive client worksheets, group activities, and hands-on applications for helping clients in both individual and clinic settings. In addition, the organization will receive an 80 page training manual. Your organization will have everything it needs to implement a life skills/ADL curriculum that truly benefits your population.

Contact Jessica@inkwellmanagement.com for scheduling and pricing information. Special pricing for non-profits that serve marginalized communities is available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kind of organizations do you train?

A: Any organization that feels they would benefit from training is eligible but you can see below the types of professionals and organizations that were in mind when the training was developed:

Q: We are a medical office. Can you teach my staff to be more aware and sensitive in our approach to our clients?

A: Yes! I offer shorter sensitivity trainings to medical and dental offices that do not need curriculum. Training includes awareness of barriers to care tasks and industry-specific materials on how to better assist patients.

Q: Do you offer virtual training?

A: Due to the highly interactive nature of the training, to protect the quality of the trainee experience only live training is currently available. Virtual training may be offered in the future. If your organization has accessibility needs in regards to live training please reach out for further discussion.

Q: Can we get Continuing Education Credits for the training?

A: That depends on how your licensing board regulates continuing education. Some state boards do not require that a training have a special license to offer CEUs. I can provide certificates of completion for this instance to submit for CEU credit. Other state boards require a special license to offer CEU credits. I am not currently licensed by any board for CEU credits. However, feel free to inquire about whether I can become licensed by your board before your training. In some states its a very simple process.

Q: I am an individual practitioner, how can I receive this training?

A: If you are not with an organization, you can attend an annual training that is open to the public. Public trainings are listed below. They are also announced via my newsletter so if you don’t see one scheduled be sure to sign up to receive those updates. ( I send out a newsletter about once a month so you don’t have to worry about your inbox being flooded.)
